Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company

The Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company obtained QRS (Quick Response Service) Certification from the PA Department of Health. This certification enables us to provide Basic Life Support - Emergency Medical Services to our community. Our QRS truck respond to medical calls when dispatched by the Blair County 911 center. The unit is able to assist Basic Life Support Ambulances and Advanced Life Support Units who also respond to the incident. The additional manpower and equipment is designed to bring aid to heart attack victims more rapidly. Our Members go through continued training to meet recertification standards that are set forth by the Department of Health.
